October Component Database Update

Hi All,

I need some help here: the October component database update is a 53MB .img
file.
I've only been doing embedded for about a year now, and previously, all the
database updates have been self installing .exe's.

How do I update my database with the .img file?

Someone somewhere along the line posted the wrong thing. It's being fixed
right now. Jon is working on this, you can contact him at his blog where he

I've been holding production of a new run-time for these updates.
Your quick response is appreciated. And by the way, I did post comment on

on the flip side of that... a .img is a file for Magic ISO...

That should be able to extract the .img file... not sure what's
contained inside the image file, but that's a start.
