Occurences Spread Over Two Days

Hi,

Running Windows XP with all the current updates including the Daylight
Saving patch which was installed when it first came out. I am also using
Outlook 2003 with all applicable updates.

After searching the group I find several references regarding this issue
where an annual occurence suddenly spreads over a two day period.

As far as I can tell nothing on this machine has been changed to make this
happen. All clock settings are as they are supposed to be but all of my
occurences (annual or otherwise) are now doing this.

Short of going through and manually changing them is there anything else
that can be done to fix this issue?

Thanks,

Dbm

One addendum to this post. I do archive on a regular basis along with
backing up as well.

It's related to the time zone or DST setting. Are all dates effected or
just some? How many hours are they off? If you change the automatic DST
setting are they corrected?

Any entry that has an occurence has been affected. Whether it's an annual
occurence or say, a week's worth of a repeating item.

I just looked and the automatic DST box is checked. I un-checked it, closed
and re-opened Outlook calendar with no change in the problem.

Do you recall when they got messed up? Did you make them then change the
time zone or sync with a handheld device?

If it happened after installing the time zone updates, you ever run the time
zone rebaser? It's at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...33-b9c8-4652-9dd8-ae0f1af62568&displaylang=en
This will fix the problem if you made them in a different time zone or
before installing the time zone update.

The error showed up after a sync with a Blackberry. The Blackberry is set to
the correct time zone and I have synced with it a number of times without any
errors.

The computer and Outlook are showing the correct day and time and have
daylight saving checked in the appropriate box.

I recall downloading and running the time zone rebaser and in fact when I
just tried to download and run it again the computer indicated it was already
installed on the machine.

Would appreciate any more advice you can offer. I will poke around on a
couple of Blackberry sites seeking more information on this. If I find
anything I'll post it here.

Interesting.

The folks who are your peers on one of the Blackberry sites seem to think it
is a Microsoft problem.

So, I shall continue to soldier on looking for a solution.

Thanks for looking into this.

Do you have a link to that information?

FWIW, Everyone always blames Microsoft but the problem is usually with the
sync software which converts the items from the format used on one end to
the format used by the other end.
