Occasional major discoloration of icons and other images

Many images, including icons, have greenish shaddows or
are rendered as pink and green pixels. This happens
almost always when I open an image and zoom in one or
more times. When I change from 32bit to 16bit color
depths the green auras/shadows change shape. I have
changed monitors, video cards, drivers, etc. Any
suggestions?

Hmm.. if you've truly changed video card, monitor and drivers... did you
change them all, or one at a time? It could be a combination of them...
Alternatively, and I don't mean to be rude, but have you checked your eyes?
If all possible hardware/software combinations are tried and it's still
doing it, it *might* be an visual problem in itself...

No, it's not my eyes, but thanks for the response. It
doesn't do this in Linux (same machine of course) so it's
something within Windows XP. I'm sure a restore/reformat
would fix the problem, but this is a customer's computer
and I want to avoid that if at all possible.
