I know you're not going to appreciate this, but it wasn't spec'd to go
that fast, if you wanted faster you should have bought faster
The best reference for judging how far an overclock will work is:
http://www.cpudatabase.com
There is one overclock there with a 1.6A on a P4S333, that works at
140FSB, which takes the 1.6A to 2240MHz.
Looking at a couple of Google posts, there is a claim that the
motherboard has some memory upclocking options at 100MHz FSB clock
and a downclocking option at 133MHz FSB clock. With that memory,
is probably shouldn't be the limit in either case.
This post talks about using the VEN1 jumper:
http://groups.google.com/[email protected]
"there is a jumper on the moboard to boost default (cold boot)
voltage 0.1v. once that is applied you can add more from the
bios. that should get you a little more from the chip."
Is your instability, an inability to get the computer to POST, or
is the computer crashing when Windows boots or you are playing a game ?
For more info on the P4S333, use the search engine on abxzone.com
There is a thread there called "P4S333 Setup and Tweaking Guide"
that might give you some hints.
