Obtaining copy of Windows XP?

Sorry, this is probably a simple question for someone. I
bought an emachine which has Windows XP installed, but it
didn't come with a copy of Windows XP on CD-ROM. I need
to re-install Windows XP now for a variety of reasons and
I don't know how to get it on CD. Since I've already
purchased it from Microsoft along with my computer, I
don't really want to go out and buy it for $100-200.
What do I do?

You didn't purchase it from Mircosoft , you purchased it from Emachine.
You'll have to contact them for a disk. Jym

I doubt that you will be able to talk emachines into giving you a disk. If
you really insist and keep after them, weeks down the road from now you may
be able to get one from them. I will bet that you will have to pay them for
it. Yes, you have already purchased an operating system when you bought
your PC from emachines, but it was installed for you. Let this be a lesson
learned the hard way. Never buy a computer without an OS on cd.
