objects move when selected

We are running PPT 2003 on Vista. When an object (text box, graphic, etc.) is
selected with the mouse, it moves slightly to snap to grid. Is there any fix
for this? We are able to duplicate this behavior on multiple systems and we
do not have this problem on Windows XP SP2.

Have you tried turning off snap to grid? View -> grid and guides -> untick
snap to grid.

In addition to what Lucy suggested: Try to update your video card driver and
mouse driver.
