object vs file attachment to Calendar entry

I am able to dynamically create a WAV file and attach it to a Calendar
entry but not attach a pre-existing WAV file and save the entry with
its attachment (the attachment is dropped). The system complains about
security issues even though the file extension is not in the proscribed
list. Can anyone help?

Thanks
