Is there a quick way to determine object (objects, shapes, rectangles, etc.)
numbers in PowerPoint. The only way I found so far was to record a macro
while I copy the object, then edit the macro and see what number was
attributed to the object by the system.

Any other way to do this to be more efficient when you have a large amount
to do?

Thanks!

Object numbers are problematic because they can change. You might be
better off with names. You can give objects names or use the preset names
that are assigned automatically when the objects are created. These will
not change. You can use the procedures in Example 8.7 on my site to get
and set object and slide names:

Just click on "Examples by Chapter" and then "Chapter 8."

Your procedures are doing exactly what I needed.
Thanks again David... you're very resourceful!
