KB provides help for this problem for OL 2000 but not
2002: 292022 OL2000: (IMO) Err Msg: Object Not Found When
You Remove .PST

I have exactly the same problem, but need instructions for
2002 . . . please help

The registry entry suggested for OL 2000 does not exist
for OL 2002: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\Microsoft Outlook Internet
Settings\"

However, the folder that causes the error does exist here
in OL 2002:

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-335728866-3280662713-1971634478-1005
\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\Jon F
Weber\161c8a51a447ac4ba2718c4d3aa6d90c

Value Name: 001e3001

Value Data: New Deleted Items 2003

Can I deleted entry 001e3001 without destroying my machine?
I don't want to screw this up . . .

The last part is the name of the profile so that can be different of course.
The path you suggested is as long a s it is under HKEY_CURRENT_USER (HCU)
and not under HKEY_USER. It must be there under HCU as well. Personally I
always export the key before deleting so I can easily restore the setting
just in case...

Also you can recreate your mailprofile for this. Go to Control Panel->
Mail-> button Show Profiles-> button Remove. Then recreate your profile by
setting up your mailserver settings again.

Hope this helps!
