Object Moved

Any idea what is causng this? It appears to be fairly random but I never saw

Hi Greg :-)

You might try the following and see if it will help:

Go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab,
Scroll down to HTTP 1.1 Settings,
Clear the "Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections" box, if you’re using a
proxy server,
If not, clear both boxes.
Or…….if unsure clear both boxes.

Go to:
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser
and use the "Search this group" field to search for "object moved" msn
(with the quotes.)

Or, try disabling (for diagnostic purposes) security programs such as Norton
Internet Security or other programs which might be interfering with IE.

Also, you might go to Internet Options>Security>Internet Zone and click
the "Default" button.

Hope this helps :-)

Hi Greg :-)
Both boxes were already unchecked. Any other thoughts?

Did you try any of the other suggestions? I gather if so, they also did not
work.

Check you AV and Firewall programs:

If you have NIS take a look here:

or
http://snipurl.com/dm0m

If you have Zone Alarm Pro can cause access problems. If you have that, try
this:

1. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom level>reset custom
level to Medium or Low
2. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>set the slider to Medium or Low
3. Go to this site and read on adjusting the Privacy settings in ZA. It will
explain how to customize on a per site basis.

If you have McAfee, check here:

Disable the McAfee ActiveX controls Applet filters in the Internet Filter
window when you select Customize your VShield settings

"Your current security settings prohibit running Active X controls on this
page. As a result pages may not display correctly."

Greg.,

If you copy and paste your error into www.google.com
you will find identical errors to yours and your answer may well lie
there.

I was going to copy the URLS to my post, but then I thought it best that
you decide on what you think is best for your particular software.

Regards,
Emrys Davies.
