I have an extensive Access Database which we use on
several computers running Office XP with no problems. We
have also operated it on this hardware for more than a
year with no problems. We had a hard disk failure and
replaced the drives. This required a complete
reinstallation of XP professional and Office XP. The
problems started immediately after the reinstallation.
All XP and office updates have been installed.
The problem is that on the second time I go to and return
from some forms I get an "Object Invalid or no longer
set" message
At the same time all the table entries on the subform
have an #Name? instead of the value.
On the form "On Activate" I have a procedure that has
Me.Recalc
This is causing the problem.
I have also tried to replace the instruction with a
Me.Requery and this also cause the same problem.
Any ideas. I am stumped as this problem was not there
until I did the reinstall and I can not duplicate this
problem on another XP machine with apparently the same
version of XP and Access installed.
