Object in AD does not exist???

When I go to the properties of a user it says:

"The Active Directory object could not be displayed."
"Unable to view attribute or value. You may not have permissions to view
this object."

Also, when I try to delete it I get the error:

"Windows cannot delete object <user> because:
The specified directory service attribute or value does not exist."

I have browsed around on Google (and G Groups) for answers. I found one
similar link but the topic was abandoned about a year ago. The MS site is
no help either. I cannot find anything related on there. Maybe I am
search stupid.

This is just an annoying thing(not really hurting anything). Seeing an
object of "unknown" type and not being able to do anything with it. Can
someone please help? Thanks in advance for responses.

Nothing. It leaves it there.

You don't have permissions to the object and the GUI is giving a bad response.
What is the name of the object? Maybe it is something you shouldn't play with.

Other than that, you can take ownership of it and then you will have access.
