Hi,
We use the Custom Installation Wizard from the Office 2003 ResKit to
automatically create profiles for Outlook. Profile generation works
well except for the Outlook Address Book service. I have tried all
kinds of settings (even created my own .prf files with the dummy
entries under de OAB-service headers and used those) but everytime two
profiles are being created and the OAB is always inserted in the wrong
one.
Example1: We tell CIW to make a new profile called 'TEST' in which it
needs to insert the OAB.
Result: a profile 'TEST' is made (without OAB) and a profile 'Default
Outlook Profile' is made (with the OAB). The 'TEST' profile is set to
default.
Example2: We tell CIW to modify the existing profile or to create a
profile called 'Default Outlook Profile'.
Result: a profile 'Default Outlook Profile' is made (without OAB) and
a profile 'BACKUP OF Default Outlook Profile' is made (with the OAB).
The profile 'Default Outlook Profile' is set to default.
Whatever we do, Outlook seems to create a new (non-default)-profile
for the OAB.
Has anybody got some advice? I've been reading a lot about this and
don't give me the third party tool approach. The feature is included
in the product so it should work, one way or the other.
Thanks in advance!
