This is a win2k/SP4 system with all the criticle and
driver updates. There are not any mapped drives to servers
that do not exist and all good drive maps have been re-
established. It still hangs on "Closing Lan connections"
during shutdown for about 2 minutes before finally timing
out and shutting down. Any suggestions would be
appreciated. Thanks! Don

.
SP$ has something wierd in it, I hope it's not the
call-home thing that XP has.
Try shutting down any unused services, turn off auto update
on everything.
I updated with SP4 and all critical updates, then added .
net stuff- been working 3 weeks to get it to run right. no
help from MS either.
