In previous versions of outlook exp. I was able to set it to watch any
conversation I started or replied to. I can't seem to find this setting with
IE6 or OE6.
Any ideas?

Sorry if I'm in the wrong group but it's the closest I can find on my news
server.

In Outlook Express go to Tools > Message Rules > News and setup a
message rule: Where the From line contains <your name>, Mark the message
as Watched.

G'day Ted,
Thanks mate, but that only highlights my posts, not the
whole conversation. There was a setting in options or accounts in previous
versions of OE that had a check box that said something like 'watch any
conversation I reply to', but I think it disappeared after IE4 or 5. It was
handy.

That will (usually) also mark any replies. It is a bit flaky, though.

G'day again Frank ,
It's also picking up any name with that
sequence of letters like in 'Ants' posts, but when I go back to
Tools/rules/news and try to edit it to be more specific, it displays no
rules at all, even though it is acting on that rule, bugger! I wish I'd
stayed with IE5.5. IE6 will not even recognise my IE5.5 mail and address
book backups.

Windows version?

Is the machine fully patched at Windows Update?

I think the only option now is to use the "Eyeglasses" column next to the
post headers. Perhaps they figured that was so easy there was no need for
the other option.
