nvrd32.sys not found

Help! I have a Del Inspiron 600m that crashed. When we re-booted it, it
told us that the user profiles were lost, and that it had forgotten everyone.
Well, we could live with that once....but now, every time it turns it, it
says "nvrd32.sys not found" and then tells us again that we have no user
profiles, and to contact our administrator (that's me, I know next to
nothing!). What is this file? How did it get lost, and how do I get it back?

Thanks for any help you can give me. (In case you didn't guess already, I
am not a technical-type person!)

Thanks....although they are very confusing and seem to be all some sort of
code, which I don't understand. Obviously not for people like me who are not
able to do anything more than input an "exe" file!

So I guess it's call the computer guy time, but thank you for reading my post.
