Geforce 7900GTX card working on XP wit latest driver just installed Vista is
the driver compatible or best to use version 88.61?

I used 8.8.61 because of 64bit
But when I installed Vista it installed Nvidia drivers and it worked out of
the "box"

At which point you can try to install the 9131's and if they mis function do
a driver rollback

This is all about experimentation but I would not attempt putting XP drivers
in for Nvidia myself.

If you would take the time to read the
information on the nVidia web site about the
"91.31" drivers, there is one for Windows XP 32
bit and one for Windows x64.

So, you DON"T put them in Vista at any point!
They're NOT FOR vista!

I have left mine with Vista's install as the installer from Nvidia stopped.
Warned me it wasn't a version of Windows. The version Vista has installed is
fine for now as photos are all very detailed just don't have the function
controls with the card.
After Beta then we can enjoy card features better.

I tried the install but installer stopped warning me about Windows. Decided
to leave things as Vista insalled as I have the features/clarity of
screens/pics etc just not all the configs for the card I have with XP.
Prepared to wait and use what works with Vista at the moment although Vista
reports slow start/shutdown due to card yet I don't have the NVidia service
to disbale via Admin tools, services. I can't find anything in sys config or
services to rectify this.

Everytime I try to post = double posts as I make them again and the first
one arrives later.
