NVIDIA Slow mo everywhere

I suspect NVIDIA is slowing everything down on my computer
to the point I have no desire to go anywhere near my
computer now.

Every action I take, weather it's going on Internet (oh
yeah, I couldn't before until until I activated something
on NVIDIA) It takes minutes to open a window, slow motion
when I play games, etc..... What's up with that? It's
very frustrating considering the amount of money that went
into buying this computer!

Everything was fine until I updated recently. I'm no tech
person, but that NVIDIA icon just appeared one day and
that's one my problems started, that is all I noticed that
was different.

Joy;
You may need to go to Nvidia website and check for a newer driver.
or:
You could try System Restore:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore
Choose a date/time before issue started.

Also you could try these:
Run an updated virus scan.
Or Scan for Viruses online:
http://security.symantec.com/ssc/home.asp?j=1&langid=ie&venid=sym&plfid=23&pkj=IRLFIZTYMWPAZTJWUFJ
Run Disk Cleanup checking all boxes except "Compress old files"
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Clean-up
Run Defrag.
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Defragmenter
If you have file sharing software such as Kazaa, disable it.
Check this link:
http://www.aumha.org/a/noads.php
Run Ad-Aware (free version) or Spybot to check for spyware:
http://www.lavasoft.de/ (Update if you already have it)
Or
http://spybot.eon.net.au/ (Update if you already have it)

This may apply if you recently installed Windows XP Service Pack 1:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=815411

NVIDIA Driver Helper Service which gets installed under
Windows NT4/2000/XP by the NVIDIA drivers for some of
their graphics cards (or graphics cards based on an NVIDIA
chipset). We do not at this stage know what this process
does except consume memory ! And we also have no idea as
to what a "Driver Helper Service" is supposed to do !!

Recommendation :
This service is often responsible for various glitches,
from significant shutdown delays to excessive memory
usage. Disabling it, however, does not result in any ill-
effect as regards the proper operation of your NVIDIA or
NVIDIA chipset graphics card, so we recommend that you
definitely disable this service via "Control Panel \
Administrative Tools \ Services" ("Control Panel \
Services" in NT4).
