Hi, I recently installed Service Pack 1 on my XP system
and have noticed that my video card listing in the Device
Manager displays a yellow exclamation mark next to it
every time I reboot. I have updated the driver where now
it states that there are no new driver updates available.
I delete and reinstall the driver after reboot and it
works to the point where I can smoothly scroll my memo
boxes without the choppy effect. But when I reboot again
the yellow exclamation point returns along with the
choppiness. Before I installed Service Pack 1 this
problem never happened.
There was also a time after installing Service Pack 1
where just after POST a different screen than usual was
displayed and started what appeared to be a Windows XP
install process. I instantly cut the power, rebooted and
the screen never appeared again, but I'm left with the
handicap of not being able to use video hardware
acceleration. What's my next step?
