the old drivers before installing the new ones.any help
much appreciated regards marty

Marty,
Do you have an AGP Filter driver installed for your motherboard? In
device manager under 'System Devices' there should be an entry that says
something along the lines of Blah to AGP Controller. If you do not see
this I would suggest downloading the latest AGP filter driver for your
motherboard as this will allow the Nvidia card to be detected. If you are
unsure as to what driver to download please reply to this thread with the
make/model of your system and/or motherboard and I will point you to the
download site. Good luck.

its when i start the computer after its been off that it

manager.regards marty

That is strange. The latest VIA chipset driver for your motherboard can be
downloaded here:
http://downloads.viaarena.com/drivers/4in1/VIA_4in1_443v.zip If you still
have the re-install problem after you update your AGP filter please send me
your setupapi.log located at c:\windows\setupapi.log. This log can be
fairly big so please send the compressed version by right clicking on
setupapi.log -> send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder. Then attached the
new setupapi.zip to your e-mail and send it to (e-mail address removed).
Hopefully I will be able to tell what is causing your problem.
