Hi. I have just clean installed XP Pro on a (mostly) new
machine, including an XFX GeForce 5200 128Mb DDR AGP card.
All was well until installing the nVidia drivers that came
with the card - within seconds of any user logging in to
XP the system hangs and needs a hard reset. I have tried
three sets of drivers from XFX - all gave the same
problem. I've tested the card on a spare/ old motherboard,
with no problems. I've tested my main/ new motherboard
with my old 32Mb AGP, with no problems. XFX are yet to
respond to the tech support email. Has anyone any ideas,
or had any similar problems with a GeForce 5200 12Mb? Many
thanks, Rich

i run a fx 5600 card had same problem tracked it down to
the power supply not being rated enough to push the card,
i had 150 watt supply, card calls for atleast 200 watts to
run properly i upgraded to a 550 watt supply and all works
well now. may be your problem worth looking into
