NVIDIA driver installation, what is a "Download Accelerator" utili

I am trying to update my new NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT video card from the NVIDIA
web site. Their instructions state: "Download Accelerator" utilities should
be disabled when downloading any drivers." What is that and how do I disable
it? Thanks.
 
You don't have one I meant.... this is a utility that helps to
download files quickly and you would know if you did
have one working.
