I had a fresh install of Win XP HE that upgraded to XP pro. I know, I know,
why did you go a upgrade? I needed the progarms that were installed with the
HE. Now, the Nvidia video card is in VGA mode, and when I try to install the
nvideo drivers, the computer does not accept the new drivers. The card works
fine, except for the fact that it's not functioning with any of the DirectX
functions. and none of the games that require a 3d card will run. Any help?

Waht nvidea card do you have?
Try removing the old drivers completely before reinstalling new ones.
Also make sure the drivers you are installing are the correct ones for
the manufacturer/make of card as several manufacturers make similar
nvidea cards!
