Exactly what does that have to do with alt.invest.stocks.amd, ****o?

Considering nVidia is by far the largest supplier of chipsets for AMD
systems... but then you knew that.

That's the kind of technical knowledge that maggots like "Trent" who infest
the tech-stock newsgroups typically don't bother keeping up on, even if in
actuality it might help them make better decisions. After all, the ugly
truth about Rambust didn't get in the way of J*hn C*rs*'s inane
pronouncements.

(alt.invest.stocks.amd dropped from the newsgroup list because NewsHosting
isn't carrying it yet and attempts to post there come back with an error.)

Why would they bother? They are the target audience for certain kind
of Securities Anal ysts, and they are quite happy digesting these deep
anal ytical blurbs, because it does not require any intellectual
capabilities whatsoever.

Regardless, let's cut this off before it becomes too much fun; Trent,
Nvidia and ULi are definitely ontopic in alt.invest.stocks.amd. Anything
that materially affects AMD is ontopic, including discussions about its
competitors. I was the one who created the group.

There's an interesting twist on the story at

http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=28532

Sounds like a post office-party fantasy IYAM.:-)

Well, it IS the micro enquirer. It takes forever to figure out what
they're talking about with their nicknames for everything and they
sure do seem to publish a lot of info about booth babes at trade shows
as well as how sloshed the staff got, IIRC :-) And I think they're all
enthralled by the model they call the everywhere girl.

OTOH, companies are always swiping programmers and chip designers from
each other so it isn't that far fetched.
