hi my name is alen ([email protected]) i have a problem with my
video card or motherboard's driver in windows vista x84: I have a amd 64bit
dual core 4200mhz prossesor and a gigabyte nforce4 SLI (model# GA-K8N-SLI)
motherboard with e nvidia geforce 4 7600GS(512mb) graphic card. I installed
the windows vista ultimate x84. now i have problem with my video card and
playing games. It shows that i installed the video card correctly but it
diidnt load the game. in personalaize when i am going to display setting and
then advancesetting it shows 0 in front of the system video memory and i
think it is the problem isnt it? how can i fix it????

sorry, your card isnt good enough for vista... please load your wallet in
the cd tray
close the tray and press the send to microsoft button so they can send you
a new driver.

Check your power supply.
The nVidia 7600GS requires a 400+ Watt power supply. If you are are running
the power supply that comes standard with your computer, most likely, it is a
300 Watt.

What will happen when under-powering a Video card will be correct
installation, correct seating, but overall failure of the card. The 7600GS
requires a 400 Watt Power Supply, and 450+ Watt for SLI mode.

My guess is that this would be your issue.

Check your specs and let us know

Hope this helps :-)

Where did you get that idea ? Of course it is more than capapble of
"Vista"--it's a WDDM driver card--if you mean Aero Glass and Flip and Flip
3D and any reg hacks for that type thing--also plenty is documented on
Nvidia's site.

It does a good job with a number of games as well.
