Hi Im looking at buying a new pc, the one that takes my fancy has a nvidia 6200se graphics card installed, er are they any good? ps will be used for gaming and general internet browsing
Thanks

for general internet browsing it will be fine gaming on the other hand depends on what games ?

it wouldn't really be suited for something like HL2 or doom3 but more for lower graphics intensive games

if you want to play the newer games a 6600GT or X800 series is the minimum i would reccomend

DEFINATLY not a gaming computer. If you want to play games, don't buy it. Simple as.
huh!

Bloody good mind reading there Chris ... so, all I need is a Graphics card to play games.

yeah, it also depends on the rest of your system, as even the most poweful graphics card will be botlenecked if the other componants are crud :P

What - i'm lost there Mucks!

You can have a kick ass computer, but with that card, it wont play the latest games... hence why i said stay away...

That is REALLY bad mis-advertisation of a product.

A celeron is a budget CPU and are hated here at PCR
A true gaming PC would have 1Gb of RAM

And the Turbo Cache 6200 (which is what that PC has) is no bettter than onboard graphics!!

Leave that one well alone.

that is not even close to a gaming pc. my pc is 3 years old, and wasn't even near top of the range, and is still much better than that.

rip off in my opinion, although you do get a screen

they would charge £700 for that in store :O
