Hi,
I'm just attempting to upgrade my KV8-Max3 system:
Abit KV8-MAX3 (Socket 754) Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3200
OCZ 1GB (2x512MB) PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum Edition EB-DDR CAS2.5
(DDR400)
650w Energymax PSU
with
NV8 nforce4 4X
ATI Radeon X1800 XL All-in-Wonder
I swapped the motherboards over, connected the 3 power connectors to
the PSU on the motherboard, installed the ATI in the PCI-Express slot
and connected the 4pin 12v power connector to a spare power connector
and my VGA card to the analogue output.
Powered the system up with the main switch on the PSU, hit the power
button. Fans, discs, DVD etc all spin up OK and the two inidcator
lights come on the MB. But thats all. No monitor display, no warning
bleeps (tho I cant find that the motherboard has any POST warnings).
I returned the original MB and Graphics card to the system and all is
well.
I suspect their may be a fault with either the MB or All-in-wonder but
as this is the only PCI-Express system I have I have no way of testing
short of shipping both back.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Jon
