Hello all,

I am wondering if there is any free but good nutrition software. I don't
seem to find any over a Google search.

Thanks,

FCC

Anyway, have a look at this (not too much but a start)

http://www.tucows.com/preview/294801.html

The google query:

Nutrition software that does what?

probably so, but easy on the teeth. . . ;)

and this:

That will get you to the food/recipe/nutrition apps - of those:

Food Composition
http://www.siestasoftware.com/

is pretty good - easy to use for nutritional analysis. . .

These are not really what I am looking for...

To eleborate, I need a free software which will select foods from a
database (like the one provided by USDA, which is of course free) in
such a way that the chosen foods will have minimum calories and maximum
nutrients.

This is no big deal actually, one can easily program it either using
Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm or Lagrange multiplier approach, but the
interface is difficult for me to program :(.

Thanks for your interest aanyway.

Best,

FCC
