I hope you can help. I have comcast.net as my ISP provider and it works
fine. However, I use other internet based email such as AOL and Outlook Web
Access from work. I cannot open, read, send, or do anything in these two
programs while on the internet.

I installed SP2 last night and just downloaded IE 7.0 in hopes of rectifying
the problem to no avail.

I tried system restore to an earlier point in the year before I did this and
nothing. I am still unable to resolve the problem.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Outlook Web Access is an Exchange Server based mail app, and you probably
have a 'profile' setup with it. You could try creating a new profile and
Importing the old mail over to it, if that one works for you.

AOL I know little about, and would prefer keeping it that way ;/

Thanks Mark. I understand what you recommend but doen't it seem strange that
this is happening in all my other email accounts? Could there be something
wrong with my computer? Software? Do I need a hotfix?

What error message when you try and is there is any protection software
installed?.
Have you been able before to access your e-mail on this machine on these two
Clients?.

Hi there Nass....

On AOL, I get a msg. that states error on the page but I can't even get
anything to open.
On my OWA - nothing happens when I click on a message or compose email (new)
button.

I have been able to use both accounts on the computer I am sending these
messages on just not my home computer.

TIA!

Hi Shannon,
You didn't provide more info for us to work on, meaning the exact
error/wording and do you mean by can't access anything ( nothing at all) or
just E-mail account?.
Make sure your Connection settings are set correct and your E-mail server
(i.e the Pop, smtp set correct on your E-mail client.

Here are some cleaning steps to try and see if that will bring your browser
to live:
1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.
For Malwares download both these software:
http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php
http://www.safer-networking.org ; for Spybot S&D

Open a run command and type in:
ipconfig /flushdns click [OK]
ipconfig /renew click [OK]

netsh winsock reset click [OK]

Or from here for winsock fixer:

Reboot your computer and see if you will be able to establish connection.

interfering with a game or a program that you currently use

If the above didn't help, try to post back with more info about your
connection, protection software, third-party toolbars..etc for anyone to be
able to give you effective answer.
HTH.
Let us know.

As far as the OWA goes, that is strictly web based. With installing service
pack 2 for XP, you get the pop-up blocking tool.

Try to add your OWA address to your trusted sites zone under your internet
options. Also, you can goto tools>popup blocker>settings> and add the OWA
address there. everything in OWa is basically a popup. Be sure you add the
secure address. ex: https://owa.yourcompany.com

Hope it helps!

I am having difficulty sending emails from my laptop while on the road ever
since I downloaded IE 7.0. I get an error message saying "relaying denied -
IP name possibly forged". Any possible connection to the new version?
