Numeric Overflow error message

I have a database that keeps giving an error message: "numberic overflow"
when I attempt to run the macro. It also gives the error if I attempt to run
an individual query.
What's odd is that I can enter the design view of the query, save it and
execute it and it will work fine. I then have to work through the other
queries manually. Anyone have any ideas on a work around?
