numbering

Hi,

I have a folder with 960 pages of photographs, and want
to re-number the pages, from 001 to 960 prior to burning
onto a CD and then to play back on DVD.

Can anyone please explain, how I can number each page in
sequence, in the folder,automatically without having to
renumber each page manually.?
