Numbering pages in Power Point

Yeah, I know its a stupid question...
I clicked on the box to put numbers in my Power Point
presentation, but they won't appear. I also tried to put
them on the master in case that had something to do with
it.
Anyone have an idea?

Naw, it's not a stupid question, especially if you're doing what you
think you should be and it's not working!

Tell us, though. Which box did you click to put in numbers?

And when you say you tried to "put them on the master," what exactly did
you do there, too?
