Hi

Using Access 2003

I have looked for previous posts but couldn't find anything about a way to
put numbers down the side of a report without a number being missed when
page 2 or more is printed.
eg:
1. some information
2. other information.

I have a module level var which I increment on_format in the detail section,
but have found that on page 2 and onwards, a number is missed.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

TIA
Michelle

Hi Michelle,
1. in section that is to have numbering (eg detail) insert
a textbox. Maybe remove label.

2. have as control source:
=1

3. use the data tab of the textbox properties to
set 'Running Sum' to:
Over All

4. preview report.

you will now find that the number will increment from 1
for each iteration of the section.

Luck
Jonathan
