Following a motherboard failure my LAN controller and Bluetooth adapter
are now numbered as #2 - You can try and rename them in Network
Connections, but unable to in Device manager. When you do attempt to
rename by removing the '#2' it says that a connection with the same name
already exists, when it bloody well doesn't.

Any ideas how to rectify this trivial caper?

Thanks.

Please check with a Vista group. This group is for Windows XP.

Does it bother you to that extent. As long as they work, I would leave well
alone. If it ain't broke don't fix it. If it makes you feel better, my
Firewire card is currently #4 (I have no idea why, nor any inclination to
remedy it).
