number of records

What is the maximum number of records that can be in an
Access table.

I have one list with 800,000 records
then I want to add another 800,000 records to it.

So will an access table allow 1,600,000 records.

Access does not have a specific limit to the number of
records a table can contain. It's more of a limit on the
size of the access database. I think it's about 1 mb.
If your records are small (few columns and short in
length), you can have more records than if they are long.
If you find you are getting close to the limit, you
can have 1 database that contains your table, and link the
table to another database that contains your queries and
reports, etc.

You have some decimal places displaced. Current versions of Access (
2000 up ) will work to 2 Gb file size. Search on "specifications" in
your version help file for a full set of the limitations.
