Number of messages in sent folder

If I log onto a remote pc The Number of messages in sent folder is 5000+ but
is only 300+ when i log into my pc how do i fix this
 
Hi,
I am almost sure that this isn't your solution, but could it be the Current
View? I don't know where to find it in the menus, but it is one of the
drop-down lists, I believe on the Advanced tool bar, maybe showing you only
unread messages or last seven days, or...?
