Number of emails

I would like to know how many emails that were downloaded when Outlook
07 downloads automatically. Is this possible? If yes, how do I do
it. I am moving from Eudora to Outlook and I miss that function.

As far as I know, Outlook doesn't keep a record of number of emails
downloaded during an automatic download session.
