Can anyone tell me how to keep the number lock on at boot. Everytime I
boot XP Pro the number lock is off and I have to press it in order to
enter my password.

TIA

Hi

You can enable NumLock via the Registry. Navigate to the following in the
Registry:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard

and double click on 'InitialKeyboardIndicators' in the right hand pane. Set
the value to 2.

BigJim, just to clarify what you said, this will not work in Windows XP as
XP ignores the bios setting for the NumLock. Will and Bob I both gave the
proper directions, in different methods, to enable NumLock to stay on for
boot. Works great for 9X versions of Windows however.

Thanks!
That worked fine!

you can set the numlock on or off in the BIOS.
