Can anyone tell me how to change the way to input numbers in Vista so that
when I input "123" that I will get "1.23" and not "123.00"?
Thank you.

That would be the Regional and Languages settings, off of Control Panel.

its wrong..

perhaps you mean change the comma with a dot in numbers?

Go to the regional and languages options in the control panel

On the first tab there is a FORMAT button

Perhaps they meant currency

I'm sorry, I did mean Currency. It used to do this and I have checked
Regional and it lists 2 past decimal and it gives me "$123.00". Any
suggestions to return this functionallity of having typed in "123" and
getting "$1.23"?

You can use customize these settings to drop the . trailing digits.
The program you are using would be where there would be settings to make 123
produce 1.23

That would be the Regional and Languages settings, off of Control Panel.

Many programs will honor that setting, but not all, and perhaps not in
all settings. So check the docs or the help system for the app you're
using, you might find something useful there.

There are no settings that will auto put in the decimal point.
If you type in 123 you will get 123. If the cell or input zone is expecting 2 decimal accuracy you will get 123.00.
If you want a decimal point between any two numbers, you have to input it there. How the Hell is the computer supposed to guess at that.
In your example suppose you wanted 12.3, how would you enter that automatically?
