I just re-imaged a desktop with W2k. Unlike every other
desktopp I've done, this one was supposed to have a blank
administrator password for a vendor to access. I left it
blank and on reboot, it asks me for the password which I
leave blank and it tells me that the password is wrong.
I've tried Password PASSWORD and password as well as
Administrator ADMINISTRATOR etc. I don't mind doing
another sysprep etc but this makes me feel so stupid.
Please don't ;et my last day of work this yeard end this
way!

What was the password of the sytem you imaged? Wouldn't it have that
as a password?

When I set up a machine for someone I usually just use a simple password
such as "abc123" then give the user a quick tutorial on how to change it.

I think it'd depend on the settings of the sysprep.inf as well. (I think
there's a field for Administrator password).
