I recently had to re-install windows XP. I now get a error "null is null or an object". When I tell XP to debug it , it stops at a JS line, but I do not know what to do from there. This happens mainly when I load my home page (USA Today).

Thanks for your help

I think you'd have better luck in a newsgroup devoted to Windows XP, or
javascript, or Internet Explorer (or other browser you use). This one is
about Microsoft Access database software, specifically using Visual Basic
for Applications code for accessing a Jet database using Data Access
Objects. I am quite certain the problem you describe is not due to VBA or
DAO.

It'll be helpful to anyone who tries to answer if you'll give more detail...
like when / under what circumstances does this happen, what are you doing
when it does, what is the exact error message (including error number if
any) -- when you do find the appropriate newsgroup for it.

As Larry mentioned, the IE newsgroup is the better place for this, but I may
have an idea.

Open your Internet Properties window and go to the Advanced tab. About the
6th item down there should be an option to "disable script debugging". If
this option isn't checked, then check it and your problem should go away.
This is checked by default but becomes unchecked when you install FrontPage.
Also, verify that you have the Java engine installed. If not, go to
http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp.
