I read the short thread re these folders above but before I delete them
in preparation for installing SP4 (I'm still on SP2), a couple
questions.....

One of these folders is dated as recently as 8/12/2003, and contains two
files, a spuninst bat file and a txt file with the same date in a
subfolder , SPUNINST. Can I delete this folder safely?

Also, several of the files are dated in Sept. 2002, presumably when I
updated to SP3 and then uninstalled it because of some conflicts,
returning to SP2. The others are dated the date Win2000 Pro was
originally installed in March 2002. Can I delete all these?

Somewhat related, as indicated I have Win2000 Pro and am the
"administrator," but the program was set up by somebody else who is no
longer readily available to drag me out of the swamp if I get into
trouble. I run a small business and this is NOT a good time to end up
with little tech problems that I can't fix. Should I forge ahead with
installing SP4 or wait for a quieter time to jump off the cliff?

I have installed the blaster patch, btw.

Thanks in advance,
Bruce A. Collins

If your computer is running well, you can delete ALL those folders. You only
need them if you want to uninstall the specific patches.
