I have several folders in the WINNT folder named
$NtUninstall with a different suffix following. They are
taking up nearly 400Mb - can anyone explain how to delete
them and what they are?

They're uninstall routines/backups. As long as you never want to back down
from the service pack/hotfix delete them.

These are the uninstall directories for service packs and hotfixes. If you
arent extremely low on disk space I would advise you to leave them on the
machine.

i also have these files, and i am running low on space on
my c drive. How about if i zip them up and save them
externally?
