Hi,
I have allowed ntoskrnl.exe to access the internet on my Sygate firewall but
still get lots of notifications (even though I have clicked the "do not show
this message again box" ) that INCOMING has been blocked!
What is it and do I need to block it?
Any help appreciated.

In Sygate, go to Tools-->Options--->Network Neighborhood. Check the box
that says "Allow others to share myc files and printers". It worked for
me.

No need to wade through all the MS stuff suggested by the MVP.
