One of my computers received an email which was
intercepted by my Norton Anti-Virus program. Norton
identified it as a virus, but was unable to fix it and
the system locked up. When we spotted the message on the
screen, we tried to reboot without success. We got an
error message to the effect that boot information was
lost. We did manage to boot a HD utility program from
the drive manufacturer, but Windows was unrecoverable.
We then reformatted the hard drives. I want to reload
Windows XP now, but it can't find the NT loader (NTLDR)
on the Windows XP Pro program disk (I bought it OEM as an
upgrade to the original XP Home that shipped with the
system). Any idea how I can get this to load?
