NTLDR is missing error message

I am gettin the "NTLDR Is Missing" error message. Micosoft
make refenece to a utility named Vcupdate2. How can I get
the utility and will it fix the boot problem. Does anyone
know how to fix this problem or will I have to reinstall
Windows?

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, Mark.

Never heard of Vcupdate2. But Google finds 67 hits on "ntldr missing" at
support.microsoft.com. Perhaps this is the one you should start with:

HOW TO: Troubleshoot the "NTLDR Is Missing" Error Message in Windows 2000
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;318728&

You should not have to reinstall Windows, but you may need to do some minor
surgery to your startup files.

I didn't know about that one.

By the way, Mark, the KB article says the name of the utility is actually
Bcupdate2.
