Just got a new PC, NTL broadband installation stops with message

VTruckdbg has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Before I try NTL customer service is there any easy fix for this. I
had no problem on original installation to my old PC.

Thanks

Searching for "VTruckdbg" on Google brings up 9 hits which suggest the
route to getting resolved is via NTL since they provided it. I didn't
read all the hits, but you may wish to do this to maybe find a solution
not involving NTL.

I haven't necesarily got an answer to problem, but have found this out !

'VTruckdbg' appears to be a constructed file from various files (on the
ntl-CD) that have the name 'VTruck'.
Which of the 'various' versions of 'Vtruck' used is dependent on the make of
modem you have, and also depends on wether you are useing Ethernet or USB.

It is a considered fact that unless you are useing a USB for the
Cable-modem, then the CD is completely unecessary.

The utility 'CorrectConnect' is considered to unnecesary and completely
useless.
