I recently upgraded my NT 4.0 server to Windows 2000
Advanced Server. I started experiencing network issues
so I decided to reconfigure the system as an NT 4.0
server. Upon doing this, I was not longer able to access
the additional drives in the system. Does anyone know
how to either access NTFS5 partitions from NT 4.0 or
convert NTFS5 to be accessible under NT 4.0? Any help
would be greatly appreciated.
I have since reconfigured the server back to 2000 and
copied all of the files from these drives to additional
storage across the LAN. I then wiped out the server and
reinstalled NT 4.0. Now, using Disk Admin, I have
removed and recreated the partitions on one of the
drives. However, I cannot format the drive. I receive
approximately 20 'bad block' error messages in the error
log every second. Are these drives now no longer usable
in any other NOS?
Thanks in advance for the help.
