My hard drive was partitioned the C drive is Fat 32 while the D drive is NTFS.
I do not have anything on the D drive since my C drive is almost full I wanted to move some files over to the D drive.
Will that have any effect on the files and or the programs I use to work on these files?
Is there anything I need to know about using the D drive in general?

Thank you,
Chris

You can move you data files over to that D: drive, you shouldn't have a
problem. If your using XP you can go to disk management and format that d:
drive to fat 32 it keep everything the same.

Thanks

And there is absolutely no reason to do this. The operating system handles
file system access. As XP fully supports both FAT32 and NTFS there is no
reason to convert an NTFS partition back to FAT32 just to keep everything
the same. NTFS is a more robust file system than FAT32.

Move files to D drive? To move programmes you need to uninstall and reinstall. Move Temporary Internet Files -Start, Control Panel,General tab, Temporary Internet Files, Settings, Move Folder.

Hope this helps.
