On my windows 2000 server, security properties on a file or folder displays
the SID and not the object name. Server's DNS address is pointing only to
the AD dns server and I've flushed the dns (ipconfig /flushdns).
I can add permissions to an object by choosing it from list of Users,
Computers, or Groups from the AD. But when I check the security permissions
after the add, it doesn't retain the object's name; just the SID.
Any ideas or solutions?
thanks!!
